We are on a journey
There is a mountain ahead of us, a mountain we must climb.
It’s a climb of discipline through everything that entangles and ensnares us from our true identity in Christ.
The ultimate climb is this walk of faith here on earth
The ultimate summit is the day when Jesus will make all things new.
But there are many climbs within this ultimate climb.
The Bible describes it as a race.
For many, the journey may seem impossible; why do I do the things I do not want to do and the things I want to do I cannot do?
But nothing is impossible with God.
A mountain is an obstacle that prevents us from continuing straight ahead.
We either have to go around the mountain or over the mountain.
It’s time to turn northward.
You have been travelling around the mountain long enough. It’s time to turn northward.
The climb will be challenging, so we must be disciplined and fixed on our True North, Jesus Christ.
Don’t rush
Quiet yourself in His presence
For in Him, we already have everything we need.
That which we want, pray for, and long for in the depths of our souls will be found as we seek Jesus and fix on Jesus with all our hearts.
The fruit of self-control is essential to stay the course.
There is no room for fear; fear is not your friend.
Do not be afraid, for God is with you; it’s God who fights for you.
It will be hard and painful; injuries and many obstacles will be outside our control.
But there will also be times of refreshing, joy, dancing, and celebration if we do this together and stay together and journey together.
We must be intentional about when to climb and work and labour and when to rest, wait and quiet our hearts.
We need wisdom for when to press on and when to celebrate.
The Lord has blessed the work of your hands, for He sees your wandering in the great wilderness of your soul.
God is with you, and you lack nothing
Watch out for the bait of Satan.
Don’t make the little things big things. Keep your eyes fixed upward.
Do not contend with small enemies along the way.
The small enemies are revealing what is already on the inside of you, where you are vulnerable & susceptible to distraction and temptation.
The small enemies want to drain your energy and take your attention from True North, King Jesus, who has already defeated your foes.
Be wise, alert and aware.
Repent quickly as your sin nature is revealed
Rise up and set out on your journey
Take possession of that which Jesus has provided & contend for it in battle.
There is a new authority available.
When you walk in the way of love and self-control, your enemy will be in fear and dread of you.
Nothing will be impossible for you.
Do not turn either to the right or the left.
Look up, Fix your eyes on Jesus – True North.
Begin to take possession that you may occupy new land, territory, and places of authority.
A freedom revival is coming but will require discipline, endurance, steadfastness, and perseverance.
We must destroy ALL of the works of darkness within us and leave no survivors.
Ruthlessly eliminate the works of darkness,
Keep no spoil from the enemy of your souls; it will only harm you
God has already given our enemies into our hands
Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength
Love others as you love yourself
Choose the way of life and good
Nothing will be impossible for you with God through discipline
