Fully Known and Fully Loved

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8 (ESV)
“You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.” – Psalm 139:1 (NIV)
These scripture verses reveal powerful and beautiful truths that can provide a deeper sense of abiding and resting in God when we truly receive them in our hearts. I am fully known, and I am fully loved. After many years of being a follower of Jesus, God has given me fresh revelations, and I am discovering new freedom and security in Christ. To be fully known and fully loved is not just an intellectual understanding but a supernatural revelation from the Holy Spirit that radically transforms how we view ourselves, others, and God.
I am fully known, and yet, I am fully loved. God knows everything about me and still loves me. Can your heart grasp this profound truth? God loves you and me despite every selfish act, impure thought, ignorant action, angry outburst, jealous yearning, and broken promise. He knows every aspect of our lives and motives, yet He chose to lay down His life for us while we were still His enemies.
I invite you to ponder this question: How would I live my life differently if I accepted that I am wholly and completely loved? What would change?
I imagine I would begin to see everyone around me differently. If my heart could accept that I am unconditionally loved, I would no longer need to compare myself to anyone else. Every part of me is accepted and loved by God. I no longer need to strive for perfection. He knows my mistakes and loves me despite my shortcomings. If I could truly grasp this truth, I would live without insecurity and find true freedom.
Wherever I go, whatever I do, I am protected, enveloped, surrounded, shielded, and fortified—I am completely loved. Nothing I have done can change the Father’s love. A love that is so big and secure that He chose to love us anyway, knowing that some would still reject Him.
Imagine turning away from such overwhelming, unconditional love. It seems illogical, yet we often do that in many ways—when we make decisions that harm ourselves, others, or when we hold onto unforgiveness and bitterness.
Embracing God’s overwhelming and unconditional love for us changes everything. If we can truly receive this truth into our very beings, it can transform our lives and hearts. We will live with new freedom to love ourselves and to love others.
May you rest in this truth today: You are fully known, and yet you are fully loved. You have done nothing that can change the Father’s love.
Lord, may You impart this divine truth and revelation to our hearts. May we embrace Your love with such intensity that it transforms and changes us from the inside out. Help us love and accept ourselves as being made in Your image, and help us love others with the same unconditional love You have for us. Amen.
