Even in Weakness
“So be made strong even in your weakness by lifting up your tired hands in prayer and worship.” (Hebrews 12:12 The Passion Translation)
I know you’re tired, child. I see that you’re weary. You look down at your weathered hands, but they’re nothing compared to the worn-out heart that I see in you. A heart that is afraid to take another step forward, exhausted and undone by the unknown. Sit here and be weak for a moment. Sit here and rest in My arms.
I’ve seen you running for far too long. Running from weakness as though it were a plague. Running to try and prove that you are strong enough, capable enough and good enough. Painting a picture of perfection, you’ve masked your weakness with a smile. “I’m good” is the code word that disguises your pain. You seek strength in things that you cannot sustain.
Come and be weak with Me. Allow Me to wrap My arms of love around you. I will protect you from the weapons of this world. You may be weak, but I am strong. In your lowest places, I will lift you. In your hopeless situations, I will help you. Stop running away, but instead run to Me. I am your safe place. Even in weakness, you can be made whole.
See those tired hands of yours; I have purpose for them. Prayer and worship are their portions in the midst of the pain, praise. In the midst of waiting for the promise to come, pray. Even in weakness, choose to worship. Though you feel weak and defeated, I say that you are strong and victorious. I’ve already won the battle that you’re fighting. I stand victorious over them. I crown you with a beautiful inheritance. You are a co-heir, a conqueror, a chosen child. Take My hand. Come with Me and see that I have more for you. Even in your weakness, I have purpose for you. Be made strong in Me. For when you are weak, I am still strong.
