“For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end – it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.” Habakkuk 2:3 ESV
Have you become weary waiting for the Lord to move, uncertain of the next step to take? He reminds us in Habakkuk that although what we desire may seem delayed, it is still coming. We must “Stay the Course” for that which the Lord has put in our hearts.
When we are in the middle, taking seemingly meaningless steps, it is part of the process; it gets us into alignment for our breakthrough. It is like a waterfall, where the water rushes together as one. The Lord is getting us into alignment in the process, step-by-step in alignment with the vision He has for our lives. Like the water, before the waterfall, it may appear to be moving slowly, but then it rushes with speed and force toward its destination.
Sometimes the Lord says stay, and sometimes He says wait. But He is always right on time. What is He saying to you in this season? Where is He calling you? Don’t give up on that dream the Lord has placed in your heart. You never know, today might be the day of your breakthrough, the day you say, “I never saw that coming!”
Lord, we trust this day that You are working in our lives, and the seed You planted in our heart is taking root and will flourish in Your perfect timing. We choose this day to trust You in the process. Amen.
